Before Freddy, before Frankenstein, before
the coming of the "Talkies", before film had a voice
... there were Silent Screamers.
The monsters of silent film had to be that much more grotesque,
that much more horrifying, and that much more insane. These creatures
crawled out from the most blood-curdling depths of the human soul,
creating lasting images of true horror.
Celebrating
100 years of film, Aztech Toyz and Art Asylum, in association
with Swede Creations, have unlocked the vaults of the silent
movie monsters by introducing a line of incredibly detailed,
collectible action figures.
Inspired and recreated from the original 'Nosferatu'
and 'The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari', these macabre scientists,
lecherous assistants, vicious monsters, and undead vampires
became the prototypes for every ev[il being Hollywood has
ever produced.
Aztech Toyz and

pay homage to the great horror movies of the silent age,
featuring package art by Alex Ross. The biggest name in

Symphony of Horrors, the
horror movie to which all other horror movies are compared, Nosferatu
presented the world to the vampire. The old joke was that during
screenings of Nosferatu, there was never a dry seat in the house
because everyone in the audience urinated in their pants from
the fright.
In a decrepit castle overlooking a European village lives Count
Orlok, and undead creature of the night. The vampire, with bulging
eyes, bat-like ears and vicious fangs, unleashes a terror unseen
in any age.
Aztech's eerie representations of the vampire Nosferatu and his
assistant, Mr. Knock Renfield, capture the chaos of these original
peddlers of film fright. Nosferatu was the first screen adaption
of Bram Stoker's Dracula. Shadow of the Vampire, a major motion
picture based on the making of Nosferatu and starring John Malkovich,
is slatred to be released in Summer 2000

An industry
breakthrough has led to the skin of Nosferatu being photosensitive,
which means that when you place the figure in the sun, he
will turn a charred black- just like Vampires should!

Traveling the countryside
with a rickety carnival, a deranged hypnotist delights the public
with his most prized subject Cesare, a gaunt sleep walker who
follows his every whim. But at night, Cesare becomes the star
of a different show, transforming into a serial killer of the
countryside, taking lives and wreaking havoc at the bequest of
his evil master.
The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari
is regarded worldwide as one of the most influential horror movies
in history. The deranged Caligari and the comatose killer Cesare
are both recreated in stunning detail with huge diaoramic environments.
