Ordered on Wednesday morning, despatched same day on Parcelforce, recieved parcel Friday morning (early). Consignment was very well packed and its contents in perfect condition. The clock was unpacked and set up within half an hour. The `black' model is the more `ornamental' of the colour options, a few plated parts would add to this, but as it is, it still is a very attractive clock. It really isn't THAT noisy, much less than passing traffic. It has to stand on a solid, level piece of furniture, for it to perform well, (some rubber feet would be beneficial) 
08/02/2008 Ordered on the Wednesday noon and it was at my door on Friday 7.30 in the morning this was Pacelforce's `standard' delivery! fast or what? I've always wanted one of these clocks, but have never seen them on sale, they are a delightfull time piece, noisy sometimes. Invented by the late Harley Mayenschein in the 1970's, a rare piece of american genius. One of Harley's models used bowls (10 pin?) and was the size of a small building!
M Hall 23/08/2005 Item ordered sunday, shipped on monday, received tuesday morning,
(wow that is quick) I ordered the recommended battery pack but was
a bit put out when only two batteries came (The Time Machine needs 4)
I had to buy another two from my local shop to get it working.
Dont forget to remove the 3 white packing clips securing the ball racks.
Another anomily was the middle ball rack did not tilt on the hour,
It tried but needed a little more weight to enable the balls to spill.
I checked the unit was level (using a spirit level) all was ok.
I went back to my local shop and bought some bluetack.
Adding a small pellet to the righthand side of the middle ball rack cured the problem.
I am very pleased with the unit and so far it's operating well. 07/05/2004 17/11/2003 Its a one of a kind timepiece...a touch noisy in its operation..but thats to be expected with ball bearings rolling around it every minute...
Instant talking point whenever someone enters the room and its cheap at the price to own something as unique as this. Everyone i ask has never seen one before. You can be the first.
You read the time from the bottom upwards and its easy after a second glance.
Everybody who has walked in my house has stood and watched it.
Its a Standalone timepiece and looks smart in black, against the chrome ball bearings.
Dont let the kids near it :-)
