The Giant Pencil is made of wood with a lead tip for writing and a real eraser attached by a metal top.

It can actually be used as a real pencil and eraser, although it's a bit too heavy to handle for anything more than a short note.

Adults and parents can keep it sharp by using a penknife. It's also more difficult to lose down the back of the sofa, like an ordinary pencil.
