The model AML151 Announcing Caller ID unit is a Type 1 Caller ID unit, which announces the calling party's telephone number through its built in speaker. Ends problems normally associated with "display only" Caller ID products of having to run to the unit to see who is calling ! To activate this service cal BT on 150. Answer: Yes, you can order a model with a power supply included Answer: Yes, Remove your telephone from the existing socket. The double adapter (supplied) should be connected in to the telephone wall socket. the cord from your telephone should now be inserted into either of the two sockets on the adapter. Check that your telephone still has a dial tone. Plug the standard telephone jack end of the telephone cord supplied, into the other socket on the adapter, and the other end into either of the sockets on the back of the unit. The cord should be inserted with the clip towards the bottom of the unit until it clicks into place. You will notice that you have a spare socket on the back of the unit. Answer: If you want the phone number announced again, just press the large, grey coloured, triangular shaped REVIEW key and it will repeat the number. Press and release the REVIEW key to hear the date, time and telephone number of the most recent call in the log. Subsequent pressing and releasing this key will go further back into the call log and announce information about earlier calls (maximum 10 calls). Pressing the REVIEW key while an announcment is in progress stops the current announcement and goes to the next call. After the final call is announced, the unit beeps. Continuing pressing will start back at the top of the log again. |
